Multi-story - Recreational - Brand Management - Marriott
ABC envisioned a Marriott branded hotel in West Kelowna on land leased from the West Bank First Nation. IMC’s services included band approval negotiations, preliminary design, and development permitting, construction drawing processing with Marriott, and subsequent construction.
Industrial - ECCO Materials Recovery Facility (MRF)
Owners share personal stories of growing families, the need for space, updated kitchens, and/or amenities for aging adults. Maybe they already have a home that they want to renovate or maybe they’ve bought land and are building something entirely new. Sometimes owners face restrictions due to nearby water bodies or sensitive environmental areas. These are challenges we love to address.
Industrial - Battle River Pharmaceuticals (BRP)
IMC built a 20,000 sq.ft. facility with integrated environmental controls for heat, humidity, air circulation, with in-line connected processing. IMC assisted with preparing the Health Canada approval applications.
Commercial - RDSC
The Red Deer Shooting Centre includes specialized safe, impenetrable rooms, gun range equipment for safety and operational function, including lead capture berm, armor-plated deflection steel for ricochet, and stray bullet redirection.
Residential-Envelope repairs - Venu
Venu condominium commissioned a re-build of the exterior envelope system while maintaining 90% rotating occupancy. Work included demolition of the existing exterior envelope, structural repairs, window replacement, new exterior finishes, refinishing all interior surfaces affected by the exterior re-work, and landscaping including a rebuild of the green roof system.
Commercial-Renovation - Sawback Brewery
The owners envisioned a high-tech craft brewery and pub to serve its patrons. IMC built their state-of-the-art brewery, creating unique furnishings and lighting fixtures.
Commercial-Repurposing - Station 39
Firehall 39 in Red Deer was redesigned to become a company headquarters. The design retained the look of a turn-of-the-century firehall as a setting for a new professional office.
Commercial space development - IMC Queens HQ
This 20,000 sq.ft. structure has a single slope roof pre-engineered metal building with front detail, custom wood frame walls, and metal cladding. The structure allows up to three stories within the structure for offices, storage, and shop spaces, with necessary fire ratings between bays and sprinkler fire protection systems.
Commercial-Recreational - Dance Magic
Dance Magic required floors that would be both durable and provide bounce to protect the dancers from repetitive dance injuries. Additional elements were needed to allow for aerial dance hoops and silks that required the special design of the roof trusses to withstand the unusual loads these features impose.
Multi-story repairs - Quarry Condominium
The quarry condo was upgraded while occupied, including improved drainage and flashings, structural repairs, reflash penetrations, and stucco systems.
Commercial-Repurposing - Plaza W
Plaza W involved creating an open-concept office space. Design services created a new look to the building’s front, HVAC, and electrical systems.
